● October 29th, 1963 – Born in Sliven.
● 1977 – 1982 – Graduated from French Language School in Sliven.
● 1984 – 1989 – Student at St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo. Studied History. Profile in the Faculty of History – European History. Graduated with an M.A. degree in History in 1989.
● 1989-1998 – Curator at Regional Historical Museum in Sliven, Department “National Revival Period (18th – 19th c.)
● 1996- Ph.D. in Bulgarian History at the Institute for Historical Studies at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
● 1997 – 1999 – Assistant professor in Bulgarian History at the Faculty of History, Varna Free University “Tzernorizec Hrabar”.
● 2000, 2008 – Elected Associate Professor of Bulgarian History.
● 2012 – Doctor of Sciences (Scientic Doctor) in Bulgarian History at the Intitute for Balkan Studies of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
● from 2013 – Professor of Bulgarian History (Economic History) at the University of Economics in Varna, Bulgaria.

● Author of over 180 scientific papers (8 books), mostly related to the history of modernization of trade and the modern commercial culture in the Balkans during the 18th and 19th centuries as well as the history of the European consular presence in the Balkans and the Black Sea region during the same period.
